This article is celebrating an Edo Woman, wife, mother, politician and business woman, Senator Daisy Ehanire Danjuma.
Born on August 6, 1952, in Benin City, Daisy Ukpomwan Ehanire attended government secondary school, before proceeding to the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, where she bagged a bachelor’s degree in Law.
In her first service to Nigeria as an NYSC member, Daisy served in the ministry of Justice, Lagos, as a legal counsel to the legal aid council of Nigeria.
Before diving into politics, Daisy Ehanire worked at a Merchant Bank and the National Television Authority NTA before being elected as a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria from 2003-2007.
Daisy is married to former Military General and Minister for Defense, Theophilus Yakubu Danjuma, in a union blessed with children and grandchildren.
